Harriet Graham
Harriet was brought up on Dartmoor in
Devon where she rode from a very early age. Her mother
was a very successful Point-to-Point trainer and also
held a Trainers Permit.
When Harriet moved to Scotland
in 1989, she had the chance to train for herself,
starting with one Point-to-Pointer in 1993 which won in
its first season. Harriet rode herself in
Point-to-Points in Devon and the North and she also Evented and Team Chased.
In 1997, she took out her own
Trainer's Permit in order to run some of her
Point-to-Pointers Under Rules. In 2001, she had her
first win Under Rules with Rosalyons and ended up with 6
wins that season. In April 2004, she took out a full
Training Licence and sent out her first winner as a
professional in October 2004. Harriet is
also a freelance TV director for Channel 4 Racing, At
The Races and Racing UK. This gives her an in depth
knowledge of horses, jockeys and racing tactics which
helps us to place horses, find up an coming jockeys and
decide on race tactics in a particular race. |
